An Early Learning ProgramIs your preschooler's brain ready for school? Families have been thrilled with our BUSY LEARNERS class and you can be too! Come join the fun and get your child's brain ready for school by keeping it active, healthy and capable of learning! BUSY LEARNERS meet once or twice a week in a fun, safe, developmentally appropriate environment learning cooperation and turn taking through peer interaction and positive self-esteem, gross and fine motor skill development through hands on learning activities. BUSY LEARNERS nurture their creativity through art projects and exploratory activities. Circle and story times promote listening, comprehension and observational skills. The BUSY LEARNERS class is 3 hours of non-stop action and fun while mastering colors, letters, shapes, math and counting skills. Our curriculum is supplemented by developmentally appropriate KUMON® worksheets. Did you know... "School readiness does not mean having already developed the academic content of schooling. It does not mean being able to recite the alphabet, count to one hundred, or know the four sounds that the letter "A" can make when you are three, four, or five years old. Parents often exert a lot of effort and worry (and feel a lot of pride) over the acquisition of such skills, but the reality is that they will be taught by experienced teachers in due course and there is little advantage to being able to do them sooner. "School readiness" instead refers to coming to kindergarten with a ready brain - a healthy, active, nurtured brain that is capable of learning." -Jill Stamm, Ph.D., co-founder of New Directions Institute for Infant Brain Development. All children must be potty trained.
